Anyone who understands what is at stake and implements it calmly and correctly has no need to be afraid \u2013 and that is precisely where I want to take your staff. Clarity rather than threats; competence rather than worry. <\/p>\n\n
However helpful technology and artificial intelligence may be \u2013 the responsibility remains with people. Woody, my learning tutor, explains, guides and answers questions, but he does not make decisions for you. A tool takes the work off your hands, not the judgement. I design training programmes that empower people to make confident decisions for themselves \u2013 not ones that hand over the thinking to a machine. This isn\u2019t a technical nuance, but an attitude: people remain at the centre and bear the responsibility. <\/p>\n\n
I stand not only for transparency, but for fairness. For me, a deal is only a good deal if both sides benefit from it. I don\u2019t want to squeeze the maximum out of a deal, but rather a partnership that is just as worthwhile for you as it is for me: fair terms, clear agreements, no hidden catches \u2013 and a price I stand behind because it honestly reflects the service provided. Anyone who feels they\u2019ve been taken advantage of won\u2019t come back; anyone who\u2019s been treated well will stay. The latter is my goal. <\/p>\n\n
You can talk to me. If something\u2019s not quite right \u2013 whether it\u2019s the content or the technical side \u2013 just let me know. You can only help those who speak up. I won\u2019t promise you a perfect platform, because there\u2019s no such thing. Everyone makes mistakes, myself included, and that\u2019s something we can\u2019t rule out. What matters is how we deal with them: addressing them openly, acknowledging them honestly, and sorting them out promptly. I genuinely welcome honest, constructive criticism \u2013 a specific point about what isn\u2019t working makes the platform better. A blanket judgement, on the other hand, doesn\u2019t help anyone. I want to make this platform as effective as possible for your business, and I\u2019m therefore open to your requests. Not every request can be implemented \u2013 nor should every one be: some things that could be done would be too specialised to be useful, or too complex to remain secure in the long term. Where this is the case, I\u2019ll tell you openly and work with you to find a way that still addresses your concern. <\/p>\n\n
This approach doesn\u2019t stop at the platform; it runs through my entire way of working. For my work, I use a Linux laptop instead of a system that\u2019s constantly sending data back to its manufacturer; I make business calls using a Fairphone; I rely on data-efficient tools; and I take additional steps to secure my connection. I\u2019m not telling you this to impress you with my technical know-how, but because it all goes hand in hand: I can hardly recommend data efficiency whilst doing the opposite in my own work. What I advise my clients, I first demand of myself. For me, this isn\u2019t just posturing, but a matter of credibility. <\/p>\n\n
Good work isn\u2019t achieved by simply ticking off a list once. It arises from many small, consistent decisions that you make time and time again \u2013 even when the easy option would be to do otherwise. I only make commitments \u2013 whether to clients or to people \u2013 if I can actually honour them. Diligence isn\u2019t a state you reach and then tick off; it\u2019s a habit that sticks. <\/p>\n\n
These are all convictions \u2013 and convictions are cheap as long as you don\u2019t put them into practice.
